Xtar TZ20 Tactical Flashlight Review

0

The TZ-20 is manufactured by Xtar.At the first sight the design of the TZ20 seems to resemble several other manufacturers such asEagleTac,Olight and Fenix, butisunique. Although a relatively new company on the market they have been getting excellent reviews. They are one the few companies who sell their flashlights with a rechargeable battery, archarger for both your car and home. They also include a pouch, extra O-rings, , spare clicky switch, body clip with torx screws and lanyard wrist strap are there. Xtar TZ20– Features
Length: 141.7mm
Width 33.9mm
Weight: 121.6g
On an average, the size and weight ratio is the same as in many other products of this class. The Xtar TZ-20 body tube has a slight resemblance to the Olight M20. The head and clip match Fenix TK-series lights. The tailcapis innovative and designed for your thumb to use the on off switch in momentary mode for those tactical situation where needed. Grip is just fine and the black type-III hard anodizing has no flaws. It has a rubber tactical ring  and stainless steel clip, both are easily removable.
Since the tail screw threads are not anodized, tailcap lock-out is not feasible. A plastic retaining ring is used in the switch and there are square-cut machinist threads in the light. The head has no spring and a contact disc is there. The light can tailstand with help of the built-up areas the tailcap has. There is a standard Cree XR-E emitter in the light with a Q5 output bin. In momentary mode if you have to activate the light, you can simply press the control tab.
Very Easy To Use
The light is quite easy to handle. You can soft-press for momentary ‘ON’ and click for ‘constant ON’. Since the light is a single-stage light, PWM is not needed. The reflector fits the size of the light well as it is sufficiently deep.
Te beam thrown by the light doesn’t produce many Cree rings and looks really good. The TZ-20 has a heavier OP texturing and this is why the light throw is not that tightly focused. However, the overall performance of Xtar TZ-20is as satisfying as what a multi-power Q5-equipped light offers. That said – it offers value for your money and we’ve got this tactical flashlight on offer (at a discount) at 911Gear!
Product Observation
The light is an excellent tactical light. Is an excellent light for lighting up the night when a high power light is needed. The LED bulb is guaranteed for 50,000 hrs, has a constant current circuit to maintain constant brightness. Its switch at the rear can be used a momentary by pressing on it or in constant mode by pressing and clicking.
In the general purpose 2xCR123A/RCR, 1x18650 category, Xtar’s TZ-20 is a potential product.
