Don’t Ignore Heel & Ankle Support When Buying Military Boots

Boots for 911 policemen in Canada and soldiers are designed with specific utility in mind. These boots are used in rugged environment and it is very critical that they are a perfect pair.
Here are some points to keep in mind regarding the heel and ankle of the tactical boots:

1. Terrain
While selecting boots, keep in mind the terrain where they will be used. Boots used in warm weather are made from softer and supple leather. They are made without  the outer support element, so that heat ventilation is permitted. The heel should not move front or back while walking.
2. Insoles
Insoles should offer functionality and utility and not create pain and discomfort. The rule is applicable to all police equipment or tactical gear in Canada or elsewhere. When choosing insoles check your foot structure and make a decision according to that. As a general rule, look for a high degree of cushioning in the insole!
3. Weight of Tactical Boots
The typical boot is always heavier than the normal trekking boot. So give yourself time to get used to the weight. A number of advanced materials are being used to reduce the impact on the heel and the ankle when you wear tactical boots made in Canada.
