Every
now or then, we come across episodes where law enforcement units rescued a
person or people from a massive tragedy. Law enforcement officers are trained
to handle such situations and are equipped with the correct types of tactical gear. They are mentally and physically strong. The different situations
they encounter can be concluded in what follows.
In
the course of his training, a law enforcement officer undergoes special drill
and courses that subject him to several disaster situations that he might
encounter during the course of his services.
Because
disasters are never intentional, preparation in advance is the only possible way
out. This is the reason why law enforcement officers are trained and prepared
to handle circumstances in following disaster situations.
Car Accidents
Car
accidents are probably the most common instances on the road and we generally
see law enforcement officer rescuing and helping victims.
They
are always advised to carry with them seat belt cutters in case there is
need, and also be well equipped with other Canadian tactical gear.
Because
the severity of causality is cannot be predicted with accidents, police units
are trained to show correct temper and assist as unfailing helping hand.
Crime Situations
Ranked
lower than car accidents are smaller crime situations, where law enforcement
officers encounter with criminals or offenders, who can be a major threat to
public.
In
such situations, there can be a need for special firearms and tactical
homework. For that reason, an officer is trained to encounter all such affairs
with minimal loss to his and other innocent lives.
Fire
Fire
is always a serious threat to public as well as property. Moreover, it can
result in several deaths and injuries. As a reason, police units are trained to
rescue people trapped in such disastrous situation to safety.
Natural calamites
Although
natural calamities are rare, they do toll up the death rate and can be a major
cause for unfortunate events. Happenings like flood, earthquake, cyclone,
tsunami and severe weather conditions are categorized under natural
calamities.
