Which Flashlight Is Perfect for Tactical Situations?

Do you want to make a good flashlight part of your tactical gear but are not sure which one to buy? Find out how you can make the right choice!

While we all know that a flashlight is an essential safety gear, it is more important to choose the right product. When choosing one for yourself, keep your requirements and budget both in mind.

Here’s what you should look for while choosing a flashlight:

    • Small Size: Since you need a flashlight for everyday use, prefer one that is small enough to fit into your pocket. Anything that is nearly the size of your palm is perfect.

    • Strong Beam: Get a flashlight with an output of at least 120 lumens. Make sure the beam is bright enough to help you spot and disorient an attacker.

    • Handy Design: Though multiple features and functions can be of great help, you should choose a flashlight with a simple and handy design. Your goal is to get a light that is easy to access and operate in adverse situations where you’ve to do a lot in less time. For example, a product with a simple, rightly placed on/off switch can serve the purpose.

    • Tough: You’ll be using a flashlight when fighting someone or in a similar situation, so make sure you buy one that is rugged. Prefer hard anodized aluminium for metal and ensure that it is duly machined for a solid grip. After all, you can’t afford to drop the flashlight in a tactical situation.

    • LED lighting: When you have LED and incandescent to choose from, prefer LED. LEDs are stronger and can survive blows and beating. They are also more energy efficient than CLF’s or regular incandescent bulbs.
